Begin with Wonder

As we enter 2018, I’m carrying a word that has fascinated me since a trip to Boulder last fall.  Wonder.  A Google search reveals that as a noun, wonder can be defined as “a feeling of surprise mingled with admiration, caused by something beautiful, unexpected, unfamiliar or inexplicable,” such as the small, determined insect I watched make a path over the snow on Christmas Day.

As a verb, wonder can also be defined as “to be curious to know something.”  Like many of you, I’ve experienced countless public and private moments in the past year that have prompted a deep desire to know more.  For me, this “wondering” spirit has been largely helpful.

I’m wondering — what words or qualities are you taking with you as a new year dawns?
